The monument/headstone for William was placed there by the Duck River Baptist Association and does not mark his gravesite. William and wives were buried in graves, marked with fieldstones with initials on them, in the upper part of Cemetery which is just above where the monument is..
The Cairns in the cemetery are alike to stone carvings in German history and most likely has something to do with Richard's grave and I'm only guessing as when first took photos of the top, one had a notable R.....K which is now all but gone. There are two adult size and two child size so I would guess that the two smaller one represents two children of the larger two. All 4 markers are hand carved from limestone.
William was the son of Richard S Keele and Lydia Richmond. He was married to Jemima Moreland and had 9 children by her; Richard b. 1800-1833, Nancy b. 1810, Frances b. 1808, Elizabeth b. 1812, Jemima b. 1814, Mary F b. 1815, Rhonda b. 1816-1867, William M Jr. b. 1818, Peyton S B. 1821,
William was a minister in the Baptist Church and ministered 50 years in the Tn area. The church he helped build with his father's donating the lumber is located in Coffee County, Tennessee Garrison Fork Baptist Church located on Hwy 41S. in Beech Grove, Coffee County, Tennessee. The original building is now gone and there is now no site if the second building by the Keele's, but a brick church building has been built in their place.
William married Amy Epps after the death of Jemima, it is not known where Amy is buried. William and second wife had no children. Jemima is buried in the Keele Cemetery in a grave marked by a field stone as is William's. William's grave has a stone with WMK marked on it just above the area of the marker placed by the association.
I have a photo of his headstone I found which I will post later.
