A resident of Yonkers for all ninety-four years of her life Mary C. Kinney (nee Dalton)was the widow of Henry J. Kinney
and mother of John J. Kinney of Jamaica, L.I. a lawyer and former Alderman from Yonkers fourth ward, Henry G Kinney of Yonkers, Sister Mary Lucille (a superior of the Devin Clare Residence for Business women in New York),and Mrs. Joseph L.Reilly, with whom she resided, and a sister Miss Annie T. Dalton of Yonkers. At the time of her death she had eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A daughter of Luke and Mary Dalton Mrs. Kinney was one of the first pupils educated in St Mary's School. She was marriedin the Church of the Immaculate Conception (St Mary's) on June 8, 1891.

In recent years Mrs. Kinney had been a communicant of St. Peter's Church and had attended Mass regularly untill last Spring when she became ill. She was a member of the Third Order of St Francis, the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association and member of the Rosary Society. Funeral was from St Peter's Church.
