BURROS, KARL ROBERT June 14, 1935 to August 24, 2011
Today the Lord came and delivered to heaven a gentle, happy soul. Karl was born in Winona, Minnesota to Percy and Pauline Burros.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, his son Johnny Lee, his parents and his oldest brother Percy James.
He is survived by his daughter in law Beverly, four grandchild-ren; Jacob, Nichole, Jessica, Nicholas, one great grandson, John and three brothers; Lee, John, and Paul.
Karl moved to San Diego in 1954, where he was employed by Pacific Bell and AT&T for thirty years and later by San Diego State University for ten years. Karl was well known for his ready smile and rye sense of humor. He often entertained friends and family with stories of his early childhood in Minnesota. He taught us all that laughter is the best medicine and he truly enjoyed making others laugh. Laughter was his gift to us. Our final gift to him is to remember always.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00pm. The ceremony will take place at the Salli Lynn Chapel at Greenwood Mortuary. Interment will take place immediately following the ceremony in the Salli Lynn Natural Garden at Greenwood Memorial Park.
