RUTH L. EVANS dies in accident, funeral Wednes.
Mrs. Ruth Lusty Evans, 50, was killed instantly in a one car accident 25 miles west of Duchesne Sunday about 4 p.m., when a small foreign car she was driving left the road and rolled over. She was thrown out and died instantly. Accompanying her were her husband, Ardon Evans and a daughter and two sons who were not seriously injured.
The accident was investigated by highway patrolmen Dennis Charlesworth and Keith R. Hooper. It was thought that she had dozed at the wheel and lost control of the car.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m., in the Bridgeland Ward chapel for Mrs. Evans. She was born July 12, 1917 in Duchesne to R. S. and LaVerna Murdock Lusty. She married Ardon Baird Evans August 13, in Vernal. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 6, 1939.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and had lived in Duchesne, Upalco and Arcadia.
Survivors include her husband, sons and daughters...; six grandchildren, brothers, and sisters
Burial was in the Upalco cemetery.
