Mrs. Eva D. Austin, 78, of route 2, died Wednesday afternoon at Pennock hospital in Hastings following an extended illness. She was a patient the past month.
Born November 12, 1895, in Berlin township she was the daughter of Jack and Bernice Lowery Aungst.
April 4, 1914, she was married to Daniel Austin and was a life long resident ofthe Lake Odessa area. He preceded her in death January of 1964.
She was a member of the First Baptist church of Sebewa.
Among her survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Torrey of Mecosta and Mrs. Beulah Daniels of Lake Odessa; seven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens-Koops funeral chapel of Lake Odessa. Rev. Patrick Neff and Rev. Alton Mills will officiate and interment will be at Lake Side cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Sebewa Baptist church.
