Mrs. Durrence Died Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. J. Cleve Durrence of Claxton were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Baptist Church there and interment followed at Beard's Creek cemetery near Glennville beside her daughter, Miss Alberta Durrence who preceded her mother in death by only six months. Elder Cliff Stubbs and Rev. M.D. Short conducted the services and were assisted by several other ministers.

Mrs. Durrence who died Monday following a long illness was a member of prominent families in this section, having many relatives in Glennville. She was a devoted Christian and a loyal member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend.

Jack Rimes of the Tanner-Poindexder Funeral Home here made funeral arrangements.
