He married Annie Ferguson on November 9, 1909, in Grand Tower. She died August 17, 1965. His children include Mrs. Sarah Wotawa and Mrs. Lucille Ellett, both of Murphysboro, and Eugene Hagler of Indianapolis.
Mr. Hagler was a retired laborer and was a member of the Pentecostal church.
