A son of Mrs. Lillian Saunders Cook, Mr. Shelton was born Dec. 20, 1903 in Paris. He was graduated from the University of Arkansas. He was the former district manager of the Firestone Store in Bryan.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Shelton of Bryan; three sons, Robert Shelton of San Francisco, Calif., Tom
Shelton of Wrights Island, N.C. and Steve Parker of College Station; three daughters, Sarah Jane Shelton of Bryan, Marilyn Bell of Smetana and Carolyn Davis of College Station; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Brazos Rehabilitation Center in Bryan or to the A&M Methodist Church.
