On 23 Dec 1944, 2d Lt. (Army Air Force) Allen V. Rouse was shot down in an air raid over Ahrweiler, Germany. He was considered missing in action and presumed dead. In 1950, his body was finally identified and his remains were sent home for burial. He was buried 10 Jan 1950.
