Betty Lou Barlow Arnold, 84, of Owensboro died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Oris and Mary Barlow. She had been employed at General Electric Co. and was a member of Third Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, enjoyed reading and gardening and was a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, J. B. Arnold; two sons, Greg Arnold (Debbie) of Utica and Mark Arnold of California; two grandchildren, Lisa McNeese of Joelton, Tenn., and Ryan Arnold of Owensboro; four great-grandchildren, Evie and Maebry McNeese, Jaclyn Arnold and Georgia Gabbert-Arnold; sisters-in-law Virgie Hines and Jessie Arnold; and a cousin, Jack (Betty) Barlow.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.
