"Charles F. Dillon, 77, of Strasburg in Cass County, died Saturday at the home. He was born in Benton County, Mo., and had lived in Cass County 63 years. Mr. Dillon was a member and elder of the Union Church, Strasburg. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gladys Dillon of the home; a son, Garland Dillon of Pleasant Hill in Cass County; a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Gandy of Independence; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Gray of San Diego and Mrs. Naomi Thompson of Cameron, Mo.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stanley Chapel, Pleasant Hill; burial in Strasburg Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, February 17, 1974
