Sally Crank was born in Gaylord on September 11, 1940 to Gerald R. Crank and Margaret J. (Irwin) Crank. She was a long time resident of Johannesburg, MI and Kalkaska, MI. Sally spent most of her life in Johannesburg, being a mother and house wife, with many other jobs in between. She moved to Curtis, MI for a few years only to come back home to Kalkaska to be closer to her family. Sally was a wonderful woman, who was loved by many. She was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, working in her yard, and spending time with her friends and family. Sally was famous for her ability to cook amazing homemade food and make everyone feel right at home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Rodney A. Black, who passed in 1996; son, Jerry W. Black; and brothers, Dale and Otto (Jack) Crank.
She was survived by her children, Sue (Mark)Wolschon, Lesa Bryant, Michelle "Shelly" (Mike) Hadley, Melissa (Les Watkins) Faggion, Tammy Black, Jeffrey Black; grandchildren, Brad and Julia Kochanski, Alan and Amanda Wolschon, Arica Black and Ashley Bigger, Rodney Hadley, Heather Luchenbill, and Dustin and Destiny Dolt; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Madaline, Alicia, Carlina, Corbin, Peyton, and Spencer, who is due soon; siblings, Virginia (Jack) Weeks, William (Ella) Crank, Grove (Kathleen)Crank, Sandy (Alan) Martin, Lola (Ron) Durham, Mike Crank.
