Elisabeth Catherine Lawson was born November 10, 1883 in Jonesville, Virginia (Lee County).

On December 25, 1898 in Fannin County, Texas, Lizzie married William Wellington Davault, who was born November 22, 1870 in Jonesville, Virginia (Lee County), son of Jacob Witt Davault (1837-1905) and Rachel E. Love (1845-1926).

William and Lizzie had nine known children: Mary Rachel Davault (1900-1960); Dave Davault (1902-1902); Grace F. Davault (1904-1986); Della M. Davault (1906-1928); Artie Lee Davault (1909-1910); Geggie Carry Davault (1910-1992); Edna Kay Davault (1912-1913); Willie Fay Davault (1919-2000); and Charlene Davault (1923-2013).

The 1910 Federal Census for Township 2, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows William W. Davault, a farm laborer, age 39, born in Virginia; and his wife Lizzie C., age 26, born in Virginia. Living with them were three children: Mary R. Davault, age 10, born in Missouri; Gracie F. Davault, age 6, born in Texas; and Della M. Davault, age 4, born in Texas.

The 1920 Federal Census for Speairs, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows William Davault, a farmer, age 59, born in Virginia; and his wife Elisabeth, age 46, born in Virginia. Living with them were four children: Grace Davault, age 16, born in Texas; Della Davault, age 14, born in Texas; Carrie Davault, age 10, born in Oklahoma; and Fay Davault, age 8 months, born in Oklahoma. Also living in the household was William's cousin, Newman Davault, a hired hand, age 21, born in Missouri.

William died January 6, 1951 in Armstrong, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). Lizzie died May 16, 1966 in Armstrong, Oklahoma and was buried in Highland Cemetery beside her husband.
