Donald Nash Ragsdale, born September 11, 1924, to Frank and Hazel (Nash) Ragsdale, passed away June 4, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Don was born and raised in Pleasant Grove. After graduating from Pleasant Grove H. S. he served in the Navy during WWII, stationed at Annapolis, MD, under Dr. Godard. He also graduated from University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, PA, where he met his bride of 58 glorious years, Elizabeth "Betty." They made their home in Pleasant Grove where they raised their family, sons: Mark & Kirk; and daughter: Lisa.

The family attended Pleasant Mound United Methodist Church, where Don was actively involved in all facets of the church, as well as Habitat for Humanity and politics. He owned and operated Dallas Cast Stone Co., Inc., a long running family business and one of the oldest stone companies in the country.

Don is survived by his wife: Betty Ragsdale of Heath, TX, sister: June Edwards and husband Bill; daughter-in-law: Anna Ragsdale; son: Kirk Ragsdale and wife Palmer; daughter: Lisa Baker & husband Mark; grandchildren: Jed, Jenny, Zeb, Luke, Candice, Cole, Emily, Lucy Jane and Michelle; and one great-grandchild: Naomi.

Don has gone on ahead to be met by his oldest son Mark, where they will be preparing our heavenly mansions.
