Lillian Leah Zide, 85, of Waukegan, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at her home. She was born August 26, 1920 in Waukegan, the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Barland.
She was a member of Temple Am Echod , Hadassah Jewish Women's Group, a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Johanna Society. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. She had also enjoyed bowling and golf and later cards and Mah-jongg.
She is survived by her son, Mark M. Zide of Waukegan; her daughter, Cynthia R. (M. John) Chesnutt and granddaughters, Stacey L. Chesnutt and Lisa A. Chesnutt, all of New Hope, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Zide, in 2001.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 7, 2005 at Am Echod Cemetery (Grand Ave. East of Green Bay Rd.) Waukegan, with Rabbi Ze'ev Harari officiating.
In lieu of flower donations, in Lillian Zide's memory, may be made to the American Red Cross regarding relief to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and/or Rita.
