Blanche L. Beheba, age 81, of Woodside Terrace, Granite Falls, died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at College Pines Nursing Home in Valdese. She was born January 10, 1926 in Gaston County to the late Raymond J. and Clara Morgan Wagstaff. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George G. Beheba; a brother, John R. Wagstaff and a sister, Margaret Abernathey. Mrs. Beheba was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, George G. Beheba, Jr. of Sarasota, Fla. and James Steven Beheba and wife, Cindy of Greensboro; three grandchildren, James Roman Beheba and wife, Laura, Thomas George Beheba and Mrs. Susan Ann Braaten and husband, James all of Minneapolis, MN; five great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law and three nieces. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Craven. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be members of Union Grove Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to: Union Grove Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1808 Union Grove Road, Lenoir, N.C. 28645. Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
