Emily was a daughter of Elizabeth Bacha and Joseph Billy. She was the only one of her siblings that married - all her brothers and sisters were priests or nuns. She married George Foster Youells, and the couple raised four daughters and two sons. During her lifetime she had several employers, including Rex Shoe Company in Exeter, Wyoming School District, and Valley Crest Nursing Home in Plains Township.
