Lora Faye Gibson Byler, age 95, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Community Medical Center of Calico Rock.

She was born November 9, 1915, at Lunnenburg, Arkansas in Izard County to Bert Allen and Mary Jane Brooks Gibson and was a lifetime area resident. On April 20, 1934, she married John M. Byler at Lunnenburg. Mrs. Byler was a Baptist and worked in the cafeteria of the Calico Rock Public Schools for many years. She loved and was very devoted to her family.

Mrs. Byler is survived by two sons: Jimmy (Kay) Byler: Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Bob Byler of Connecticut; a daughter: Jodi Byler (Bert) Breedlove: Calico Rock, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law: Ina Byler: Ash Flat, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Byler; a son: Johnny Wayne Byler; a brother: Bill Gibson; and three sisters: Gertie McSparren, Lorene Sumner and Oma Dunn.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the Calico Rock First Baptist Church with Brother Elvis Sneathern and Brother Kevin Bishop officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. Thursday until service time at the church.

Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Calico Rock with grandsons: Chris Byler, Tim Byler, Mike Byler, Jeff Byler, Johnny Byler and Jared Dover as pallbearers.
