Helen Lorena Dent, 87, of Lenexa, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Mrs Dent retired from Old Mission Junior High where she was a secretary for over 15 years.

She was born on June 4, 1914, in Onaga, the daughter of Charles and Adda Belle Crumbaker. She was married to Kenneth Dent. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Harold Dent, of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Barbara Dent, of Mission, and Margaret Hickey, of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Don and Evan Crumbaker; six sisters, Frances Moyer, Nada Belle McCool, Ardath Murray, Bobbie Peters, Carol Adolph and Marge Knorr; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

The Amos family funeral home was in charge of services which were at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 6, at the Shawnee United Methodist church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Helen Dent Memorial Fund at Shawnee United Methodist church.
