Born July 11, 1921 in Livingston County, IL, she was the daughter of the late Clara Henning Lommatzsch and Elmer Lommatzsch.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Blacksburg, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lommatzsch.
She is survived by her husband, James Conrad Dawson of Pulaski. 1 son; D. Alan Martin of Floyd, Va.: two sisters; Dolores Rutkowski of Buffalo, Wyoming, & Thelma Hollahan & her husband Don of Sun Lakes, AZ: Also survived by 3 grandchildren: Todd Martin and his wife Coleen, Kevin Martin and his wife Glenda, & Scott Martin & his wife Dawn: 2 great grandchildren; Savannah & Sydney Martin.
