Composer, Music Arranger for Film and Television. Gilbert was born in 1918 and educated at the prestigious Julliard School of Music in New York, later beginning to play the viola with such music personalities as Harry James. He later began to work on films and television and went onto win several honors. The many films he worked on include, "The Witch Who Came From The Sea" (1976), "Gemini Affair" (1974), "I Dismember Mama" (1974), "The Secret Of The Sacred Forest" (1970), "Sam Whiskey" (1969), "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue" (1957), "Beyond A Reasonable Doubt" (1956), "No Place To Hide" (1956), "Comanche" (1956), "The Naked Hills" (1956), "While The City Sleeps" (1956), "The Bold And The Brave" (1956), "The Naked Down" (1955), "It Came From Beneath The Sea" (1954), "Cannibal Attack" (1954), "The Jackie Robinson Story" (1950), and "It's A Wonderful Life" (1947). Gilbert also worked on many classic television programs including, "The Big Valley" (1965-1969), "Gilligan's Island" (1964-1967), "Gunsmoke" (1955-1975), "Adventures Of Superman" (1952-1957), "Leave It To Beaver" (1957-1963), "The Mighty Hercules" (1965), "Michael Shayne" (1960-1961), "The Lawless Years" (1960-1961), "Wanted: Dead Or Alive" (1958-1961), "Johnny Ringo" (1959-1960), "The Westerner" (1960), "King Leonardo And His Short Subjects" (1960), "Harrigan And Son" (1960), "Assignment Underwater" (1960), "The Dick Powell Show" (1961-1963), "The Gertrude Berg Show" (1961-1962), "McKeever And The Colonel" (1962-1963), and "Burke's Law" (1963-1966).
