Born May 23, 1914 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Christina (Bonnlander) Stelz.
Mrs. Yuhasz was a member of AARP and St. Paul's Lutheran on York Street, Hanover for over 55 years and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. She worked for seven years in medical records for Dr. Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Yuhasz enjoyed reading books and spending time with her friends.
Surviving is a daughter Linda L. Wherley and her husband Dennis, Hanover; two granddaughters, Jennifer Warehime and her husband Russell, Hanover and Robin Saner and her husband Adam, Hanover; four greatgrandchildren, Karissa and Katelyn Warehime, Jackson and William Saner; also two nieces.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Souders and two brothers; George and Harold Stelz.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Yuhasz will be held Saturday, at the Chapel of Homewood at Plum Creek, 425 Westminster Ave., Hanover at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. Family and friends attending are encouraged to wear red and bright colors for the celebration of Alma's life. Burial will be private. Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover is in charge of arrangements.
