Prycie Perpont Myers was born on December 17, 1912 in Beaver County to Leslie Travis and Versa Dee (Hill) Adelman. She graduated from high school and attended college at Panhandle A & M at Goodwell. She was a member of the First Christian Church since 1922. Prycie was married to Robert Boston, who left her and the children. Then she supported her two young children by working at the court house. Prycie married Floyd Myers on February 16, 1942 in Liberal, Kansas. Prycie died in the Beaver County Memorial Hospital January 20, 2004 at the age of 91. She was a member of the Balko Sunflowers and the Rebekahs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, who died on October 17, 1990. A sister, Geraldine Adelman, and a brother, Travis Eugene Adelman. She is survived by her son, John Travis Boston of Elmwood; her daughter, Mae Dee Durbin of Grove, Oklahoma; one brother, James Keith Adelman of Creed, Colorado; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The family requests memorials to the Beaver County Nursing Home or a charity of choice. Prycie was known as a "neat" person, a good cook and homemaker, and enjoyed gardening. She also knitted and crocheted articles to give to her friends. Some of her friends related that she was somewhat of a perfectionist and wanted things done right. When she and Floyd retired about 1980, they built a fine home in Beaver that they enjoyed for many years. Funeral services were Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Beaver First Christian Church with Bob Blazek officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Balko.
