GOWRIE - Pauline A. Carlson 83, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Her wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie, with Pastor James Davis officiating. Private family burial will be at Gowrie Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church until service time. Memorials may be made to Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family.

Pauline is survived by her children, Belinda (Tom) Bunda of Moorland, Gregory (Kristine) Carlson of Gowrie, and Holly (David) Thompson of Kanawha; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister Marlene Stacy of Rockwell City; and brother Boyd Hildreth of Palm Springs, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Adena Barkmeier Hildreth; her husband Richard A. Carlson; grandson Jordon Jaeschke; and brothers, James and Chester Hildreth.

Pauline Ann Hildreth Carlson was born August 23, 1928 at Lake City. She graduated from Lohrville High School with the Class of 1946. In 1948, she was united in marriage to Richard A. Carlson at Rockwell City. The couple established their home on a farm south of Gowrie. In 2008, she became a resident of Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Pauline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
