Mary A. Simpson, daughter of Alfred and Lorvica Simpson, was born Feb. 17, 1872 in Wayne County, Illinois. died Jan., 29, 1922, Age 49 yrs, 11 Months and 12 Days.
She was united in marriage to Harrison Crisel, Dec. 23, 1898, she leaves to mourn her departure two boys, Harry and Earl and one daughter Goldie, her husband, three brothers, I. O., S. F. and W. J. Simpson, her father, mother and one sister preceeded her to the better land.
She professed a hope in Christ in 1910 during a series of meetings held by Cummins and Bosley in Aden, she united with the Missionary Baptist church at Olive Branch, was baptised by her brother I. O. Simpson and lived a faithful member until death.
She also leaves to mourn her departure a host of relatives and friends. She spoke before her death of her hopes of a future life beyond deaths veil of sorrow.
Funeral services were held at Friendly Zion near Aden conducted by Elder S. W. Shehorn. The remains were laid to rest in Garrison Cemetery.
