Margaret "Estelle" Clegg was born March 12, 1917, in Prattsville, to the late Jake and Alice McCollum.
She was married to the late Elbert Jim Clegg and to this union five children were born, one preceded her in death Sherrie, she was also predeceased by one sister, Samual (Sam) Dora King, and two brothers, O'Neil and Benjamin (Ben) McCollum.
She was a member of Davis Creek Baptist Church. She fulfilled many duties such as member of the Faithful Few Choir, Mission Society President, Sunday School Secretary, Community Cub Secretary, Secretary of Jefferson Spring District Association, Eastern Star Member, Bus Fund Treasurer, but her crowning jewel was her proud reign for many years as Queen of Jefferson Spring District.
Estelle leaves to cherish her memory four children, Eddie Clegg (Karen) of Prattsville, Stella Weathers (Calvin) of Fordyce, Lewis Clegg (Luvenia) of Malvern and Troy Clegg (Loretta) of Prattsville; two sisters, Etta Lee Clegg of Prattsville and Margarite (Maggie) Baker of Lawrenceville, Ga.; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren
