Funeral services for Ela Day, 84 of Gilbert, LA will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bobby Ensminger and Rev. Ron Charrier officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial.

Ela Day was born on September 25, 1926 in Epps, Louisiana and passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at her residence in Gilbert. She was a homemaker and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: Father - W. A. Stroud; Mother - Lillie Estelle Stroud; Husband - Henry Day.

Survivors include:

Her 2 Daughters - Melva Freeman and husband James of Gilbert, LA
and Connie Biggs and husband Larry of Swampers, LA;
2 Sons-Donnie Day and wife Betty of Cleveland, TX and Darwin Day and wife Donna of West Monroe, LA;
3 Sisters - Lois Temple of Winnsboro, LA, Lela Holloway of Odessa, TX, and Audrey Dunham of Crowville, LA;
Brother - James Stroud of Houston, TX.
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The Pallbearers will be Brian Freeman, Chris Day, Clint Freeman, Jason Day, Ryder Biggs, Scott Biggs, Storm Cuenca and Tyler Day.
