During his earlier life he was engaged in the lumber business and later operated the Carmichael Wholesale Candy Co. in this city. He also operated the Oldsmobile agency.
Surviors included two daughters, Mrs. Ray M.(Mable) Lang pf Vienna, Mes. Ray(Alice) Williams of Wolfe Summit: on son David M. Carmichaael of Beaumont, Texas, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
