Eldon Oris Madding, 79, of Decatur died 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 21, 1995) in his residence.
Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mr. Madding was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Mount Erie, son of Seymore H. and Susan Johnson Madding. Mr. Madding retired in 1975, after 23 years service, from Archer Daniels Midland Co. as a machine operator in the T.V.P. He had formerly farmed in Macon and Sangamon County. He married Roberta A. Morris in 1940. She preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 1995.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Larry (Susan) of Cerro Gordo; sons, John and wife Claudia of Decatur; Jerry and wife Judith of Long Creek; Galen and wife Kay of Harristown; brother, William of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Lou Arbie (Gladys) of Noble; eight grandchildren, Mark, Connie, Jason, Michelle and husband Brad, Heather, Jonathon, Bryan, Collin and Tyler; several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, three brothers and three sisters.
