Adrienne Liana (Apple) Massey, 44, was called to the Lord early morning Friday, August 26th, 2011, with her family by her side at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.

Addy, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was born May 25th, 1967 in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of Robert J. Apple and Amber L. (Edmond) Apple of Columbia, PA. She was raised in Columbia, PA where she was a 1986 graduate from Columbia Jr. Sr. High School.

She was employed as a Program Analyst at Navy Facilities Command at Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD, a job she loved doing with co-workers and colleagues who loved and respected her, both professionally and as a friend. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy and was Honorably Discharged in 1991.

While in the Navy, she met and then married the love of her life, Kenneth O. Massey, whom she has been married to for over 19 years and resided with in Lusby, MD.

Addy loved spending time with her family and would do anything and everything for her sons. She loved reading, music and shopping in which purses and jewelry were her weakness.

Addy and her family attended Calvert County Baptist Church in Prince Frederick, MD.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, Addy leaves to cherish in her memory her two sons, Kenneth D. Massey and Kyle D. Massey of Lusby, MD; her sister, Cynthia wife of Joey McLeod of Virginia Beach, VA; nieces: Joelysa and Vanessa McLeod of Virginia Beach, VA, Hailly Johnson of Charleston, SC; nephews: Damarcus Massey of Greenville, SC, D'Erik McLeod of Virginia Beach, VA; Mother-in-Law: Janie Massey, wife of the late Fred Massey of Greenville, SC; sister-in-law: Karen Johnson of Greenville, SC; and a host of other family and friends.

There will be a viewing on Thursday, September 1st, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Columbia United Methodist Church, 510 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA 17512 and a Celebration of Life service following at 11 a.m. with pastors, Rev. Darryl L. Godlock and Rev. Adrian Boxley, officiating. Interment will follow in Habecker's Mennonite Cemetery, Mountville, PA. The family ask and Addy would appreciate that, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Services provided by Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., Columbia, PA.
