Poster believes maiden name is NORTON being:
Courtney Carter (presumed wife of Landon Carter) She was born 1778 and died 1841, however there is another same Courtney Norton also married Capt Warner Lewis III Jr in 1772, so not sure about this at all. She may be a daughter.
