Wilbur Nathan Jenkins, 87, of Harrison, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at the Hospice House in Harrison.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Red Oak Baptist Church, with Pastor Gary Crawford officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Leaf Cemetery, with friends serving as pallbearers.

The son of Charles Maurice and Etta Atlanta (Jarel) Jenkins was born Sept 6, 1923, at Tuscola, Ill. He was a member of the Red Oak Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force as radar mechanic and served from 1943 to 1945. He married Tilba Balentine on Oct. 6, 1972. He was a supervisor for Hoffer Plastics in Elgin, Ill. He enjoyed CB radios.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
