Victor Lee Shaw

Victor Shaw, 61. passed away August 18, 2011 in Seattle, Washington. He was born July 24, 1950 in Olympia, WA to Elaine and Earl Shaw. He graduated from Tumwater High School 1968. and married Dixie Keeland on March 25, 1974 in Olympia. Victor had worked for Intercity Transit since 1981.

Victor had a great sense of humor, liked to pull pranks, was quick-witted, could come up with one-liners and loved animals. He appeared rough on the outside, but was really a teddy bear and willing to help anyone. Victor was a dedicated family man, and was completely devoted to the love of his life, Dixie. He liked spending time with friends and family, exploring caves and mine shafts, his 1923 Fort Model T, boating, riding quads, spending time in the woods on his property, going on cruises, going to Hawaii, restoring tractors, and guns (especially his "Tommy" gun).

Victor was past master of Olympia Lodge #1 F&AM in 1991 and 1999, Chairman of Masonic Cemetery Association, Shop Steward Amalgamated Transit Union.

Victor is survived by his wife, Dixie of Olympia, WA, sons, LIVING; daughter, LIVING; grandchildren, LIVING, and uncle Robert Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ben. He was loved by all and will truly be missed.

Services will be held Friday, August 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Masonic Lodge, 521 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
