Philip Swindell and predeceased by 2 sons: Ronnie and Larry Swindell. Survivors: 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Wanda Swindell, Mike and Ruthann Swindell, both of Ludowici, GA, a sister: Delma Clements of Odum, GA, a brother: Gene Akins of Virginia Beach, VA, 8 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, several great- great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 2-3 p.m., Sunday at the church. Funeral service: 3 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2009, from the Ludowici First Church. Interment: Rye Patch Cemetery.
