Felix William Renick was born 05 Nov 1770 in Moorefield, Hardy County, West Virginia; the son of William and Ann Rachel (Heath) Renick.

Felix was united in marriage 05 Nov 1795 in Hardy County, Virginia to Hannah Rachel See; the daughter of Frederick Michael and Barbara Rebecca (Harness) See.

Felix and Hannah were the parents of nine children:

George Washington was married #1 Eliza McClean and #2 Harriett McConnell
Juliet was married to James W. Reeves
Elizabeth "Betsy" married James H. Renick
Rachel married John Maderia
Thomas S. married Elizabeth Morris
Henry Heath married Mary Jane McMillan

With his brother, George, Felix began the cattle industry in the west, originating in Ross County, Ohio, with the first importation of short-horn cattle. He is a member of the Ohio Hall of Fame. Felix was also an attorney and Judge.
