Mrs. Earwood was a member of Emma's Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Home Demonstration Club for a number of years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lura Waites of Asheville and Alice Lewis, and her husband Sanford, of Asheville; four grandchildren, William Henry Head, and his wife Debi, of Fort Mill, SC, Rodney J. Lewis, and his wife Dorothy, of Clayton, Indiana, Vickie Sprung, and her husband Jim, of Fletcher and Will Waites of Asheville; four great-grandchildren, Pvt. Robert "Trip" Mease, Dawn Nicole Head, Megan Lewis and Patrick Lewis; three sisters, Geneva Gasperson of Fletcher, Eugenia Brooks of Newport News, Virginia and Jane Hardin of Fairview; four brothers, Roby Harrison of Fairview, Van Harrison of Charlotte, Herbert Harrison of Lawndale, NC and Melvin Harrison of Jacksonville, Florida.
