Melvin "Shike" Klubertanz, age 80, died on Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at a local nursing home. He was born on September 13, 1914 and was the son of Leonard and Mary (Miller) Klubertanz. He married Mary G. Mooney on February 27, 1940 in Sun Prairie. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church and the Wisconsin Horse Pullers Association. Survivors include three sons, Bob (Louise) of Cottage Grove, Lloyd of Deerfield, and James (Judy) of Sun Prairie; three daughters, Ruth Anne (Gerald) Skalitzky of Lodi, Marge (Larry) Woodbury of Sun Prairie, and Kathie (Harry) Mills of Sun Prairie; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Urban of Sun Prairie, Cyril of Madison, and Eugene (Geraldine) of Sun Prairie; and a sister, Beatrice Renz of Sun Prairie. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Herbert and Walter. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 1995 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Father Felix Oehrlein officiating. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Garden Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 1995, at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., where a scripture service will be held at 8:00 p.m. WSJ 3/10/1995
