Mrs. Watson Hain died last Thursday, only a few days after the death of her mother, Mrs. Sarah E. Carter, whose death was noted in these columns last week. The funeral was held at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Saturday after noon and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. J.W. Lewis conducted the service and made a very helpful and comforting talk to the bereaved relatives and friends. Blanche E. Carter was born in this city July 30, 1886, and was there fore a little past 29 years of age at the time of her death. She was reared in this city and was graduated from the Blair high school with the class of 1905. For a number of years she was employed by the Nebraska Telephone Co's office and made many friends and acquaintances who sincerely regret her untimely death. She was married to Watson Hain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hain, on April 26, 1911, at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. C.P. Land. They went to housekeeping in the Tyson neighborhood, moving onto a farm southeast of town last year. Besides the husband she leaves an only daughter, Dorothy Marie age three years, who is the great granddaughter of Watson Tyson, Sr. Mrs. Hain was the last of a family of ten children, but six of whom grew to manhood and womanhood. The bereaved husband and relatives have
the sympathy of many friends.

Mrs. Blanche E. Carter Hain died of tuberculosis at her home south-east of Blair on Sept. 16, 1915, after an illness of over a year. She was born in West Point, Ne. July 30, 1886. She was the last of a family of nine children. Her father, one brother and two sisters died of tuberculosis three
of the children died in infancy; and a brother frozen to death in Wyoming. Her mother died about a week before Mrs. Hain of a complication of diseases due to old age. She leaves her husband and one daughter, Dorothy Marie, aged three years to mourn her demise, also two sister-in-law, Mrs. Will Carter ofCavour, S.D. and Mrs. Harry Carter, of North Loup, Ne. and two brothers-in- law, Alfred Krause, of Bloomfield, Ne. and Eugene Krause, of this city. Mrs. Hain was a graduateof the Blair High School of the class of 1905, and a member of the Methodist church. Before her marriage she worked for a number of years for the Nebraska Telephone Co. at this place. Rev. J.W. Lewis conducted the funeral services from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Saturday Afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Blair cemetery.
