Christina was the oldest child of Martin Schwindt and Katherine Elizabeth Lehl, in a family of four boys and three girls. Her father was born in 1842, died August 1883. Her Mother died April 1, 1892. Martin and Katherine were born and died in Norka, Russia. When her Father died at the age of 41, he left her Mother to raise a family of seven children ranging in age from one to sixteen years old.

Christena was born Aug 4, 1865 in Norka Russia and Died Nov. 10, 1952 in Morgan County, Colorado. She is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She, and all of her siblings, were born in Norka Russia. She came to the USA in 1911.

She married Fred Spadi in Norka Russia. He was a shoe-maker by trade and is also buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Their union was blessed with two sons and three daughters:
Margaret (2/15/1886 - 2/23/1963) - Albert Klotz
Henry (11/6/1887 - 1/28/1947)
Phillip (11/23/1894)
Elizabeth (6/24/1896) - Henry Debus
Christina (8/9/1906) - Walter Stites
