Mary was born, June 4, 1934, raised and educated in Gooding, Idaho. She was the daughter of Otto and Edna Stephens Carrico. She met the love of her life, Dick, at a Basque dance in Hagerman. They were married July 14, 1953, in Elko, Nevada.
Mary was a multi-talented woman with diverse interests. She was a bookkeeper, fashion model, antique and clothing store owner, bridge player and league bowler. She enjoyed crafts, painting and had a flair for interior design. She was an accomplished seamstress creating unique Santas and dolls. She also cooked for the Oneida sheep ranch and was well known for her homemade bread and pies. Her greatest happiness, however, was spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dick; children, Rhonda David King of Kalama, Wash., Kim Browne, Toni Charles Cooke and Ben Kathy Oneida, all of Shoshone; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Spencer of Gooding, Idaho, and Georgia Wornall of Placitas, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
