Charles A. “Andy” Anderson,
73, 221 W. Columbia St., Delphi,
died Monday, August 2, 1982, at
4:30 a.m. in Home Hospital where
he had been a patient since July 17.
Born October 20, 1908, in Carroll
County, he was the son of George F.
and Sarah Bagley Anderson. His
marriage to Helen Denton was on
November 20, 1936 in Delphi
United Methodist Church. He
worked in the maintenance division
of Globe Valve for 31-1/2 years, retiring
in 1970 due to health. He was a
45-year member of Delphi United
Methodist Church and a 25-year
member of Delphi Masonic Lodge.
He is a former member of I.O.O.F.
of Delphi.
Surviving with the wife are three
daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Patricia)
Potts, Monticello; Mrs. Terry
(Fern) Curin, Yeoman, and Mrs.
William (Geneva) Martin, Pyrmont;
three sons, Charles L. Anderson,
Bringhurst; Daniel L. Anderson,
Lafayette; and Gary T. Anderson,
Glendale, Calif.; one brother, Dan
Anderson, Colburn; three sisters,
Edna Jester, Lebanon; Mary Peterson,
Bringhurst, and Grace Clement,
Lafayette, and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one
daughter, Betty Butcher in 1977;
one grandson, three brothers and
four sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday
at Horn Funeral Home in
Delphi with the Rev. Donald Ashley
officiating. Burial will be in Woodville
Cemetery near Camden.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Masonic services are this evening
at 7:30.
