DENNYSVILLE - James "Jimmy" C. Sullivan, 75, passed away Feb. 2, 2008, at a Machias hospital. He was born May 11, 1932, in Lubec, the son of the late James Francis and Edith Augusta (Clark) Sullivan. Jimmy graduated from Babson Institute in Massachusetts. He retired from the board of directors of Regional Health Center, Lubec, and was selectman for the town of Dennysville for close to 40 years. He was actively involved with Dennys River Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance for many decades. At the time of his passing, he was on the board of directors for Washington County Ambulance Authority. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth A. Sullivan; and a stepson, Dennis Ashby. Jimmy is survived by his stepdaughter, Virginia Curtis of Fred-ericksburg, Va.; a stepson, Roger Ashby of Dennysville; and a special granddaughter, Roxanne Wait, whom he raised, and her husband, David, who were his caregivers through his final years. At his request, there will be no funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to Dennys River Volunteer Fire Department, 59 King St., Dennysville, ME 04628. Interment for he and his wife will be held in the spring at Dennysville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias. www.bragdonkelley.com
