Stanley E. Avery, 66, died Sunday of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Avery was a life resident of Central Square.

He was a truck driver for various companies. He retired in 1993 from the Oswego Asphalt Corp. of Central Square.

Mr. Avery also worked 25 years for the Oswego County Highway Department, driving a truck and plowing snow. He was a member of Teamsters Local 317.

Surviving are his companion of 23 years, Ruthann Allen; two sons, Steven of Rochester and Tim of Oswego; a daughter, Vicky Alfano of Rochester; a brother, William Sr. of Central Square; two sisters, Evelyn Ciaramella of West Monroe and Emma Petrocei of Central Square; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. Burial is in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 684 N. Main St.
