Wayland Jean Waller, a resident of Hillman, MN, died April 25, 2002, at Mille Lacs Health System, Onamia.

Funeral services were held April 27 at the Lakeview Community Church in Hillman, with Reverend Cathy Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Pine Tree Cemetery in Hillman.

W. Jean Waller was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Richardson Township, son of Arba Clair and Edyth Pearl (Lewis) Waller. He was a dairy farmer on his family farm in Richardson Township his entire life. He was united in marriage to Luella Boser in Sept. of 1955 at the Holy Family Church in Hillman. He was the clerk of Richardson Township Board for many years and served on the Pine Tree Cemetery Board. He was a member of the Club of the Pines, The Sportsmans Club and the Richardson Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife Luella; four daughters, Jane (Michael) Vogt of Staples, Judy (Bill) Johnson of Maple Grove, Jill (Keith Bremel) Waller of Hillman, Joan Waller of Otsego; one son, Keith (Sandra) Waller of Stevensville, Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Phyllis Whitney and Betty Kirk both of Brainerd and eight grandchildren. His parents; two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
