Allen Adams of Corraneary House was the son of James and Jane (Allen) Adams. Allen Adams married Martha Higenbotham in or about 1735. They had five sons and two daughters, i.e., Richard, James, William, Samuel, Benjamin, Margaret and Jane. His will, signed 13 May 1755, was proved in Probate Court at Dublin, on 24 January 1756. Allen Adams was interred beside his parents in Knockbride Churchyard, County Cavan.
