Ed is survived by his wife, Doris Jean (Steele); 2 sons, Chris and Mark as well as 2 grandchildren.

He was a Captain in the US Army Aircorp in World War II where he was a bombardier serving with the 351st Bomb Group of the 8th Airforce.

Ed worked for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick for 35 years. Earlier he worked for Carter Wallace.

He was active with the Boy Scouts and a Cub Scout Master of Pack 17 and a committee chair of Troop 24 in Edison.
