Born in Crisp County, Ga. Mr. Black was a resident of Acworth for 60 years where he loved to garden and share with his neighbors. He served our country during WWII in the Navy aboard the USS Stockton. Mr. Black retired from Lockheed as a machinist in 1984 after 30 plus years. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend to all who knew him.
Those who survive Mr. Black are: wife Marie Black; daughter Cecile Herrin; brother Marion Black; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 2340 Prince Ave. ste B, Athens, Ga. 30606 in memory of Cecil L. Black.
