He went to Wild Horse, Colorado with his father and siblings where he ran a ranch. He meet Ella in Wild Horse. They were married in Haswell, Colorado June 16, 1915. Their first son Edward Allen was born in Colorado. The family moved on to Lewistown, Montana where John Arthur was born. Then they moved to Burley, Idaho where Ruth was born. In the 1920s he worked in the gold mine in Jarbidge, Nevada. They lived in Lamar, Colorado in 1927 running a root beer stand. They had a farm in Idaho. He and Ella lived in San Pedro, California at the end of his life. They buried Ruth in 1927 in Lamar, Colorado. Eddie was buried in 1941 in Idaho.
