Ollie V. Curtis, 67, died Thursday in Hamilton at the Valley View Estates.

She was born March 25, 1925, in Wilsall, to Christopher and Esther (Holnam) Bridgewater. She moved with her family to Bozeman in 1928 where she was raised and educated. On August 26, 1943, she married Ernest C. Curtis in Bozeman. She was a member of the South Methodist Church in Bozeman and was very active with the junior league of the church. In 1990 the couple moved to live near their daughter in Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto and Oscar Bridgewater.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest in Hamilton; two daughters, Mary Lou Amsden of Hamilton and Peggy Jane Myers of Antioch, Calif; one son, Ernest J. Curtis of Elgin, Ill.; four brothers, Orville Bridgewater of Bozeman, Raymond Bridgewater of Fruitland, Idaho, Burt Bridgewater of California, and Frank Bridgewater of Drummond; three sisters, Jean Emerson of Bozeman, Oneta Otnes of Portland, Ore. and Opal Pitt of Deer Lodge; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No formal service will be held. A reception for friends and family will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Valley View Estates.

Memorials are preferred to Valley View Estates. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the Daly-Leach Chapel and Crematory.
