Daniel Francis Herrick, age 72, of 3667 Egre Rd., died at home on Sunday, March 26, 1989. He was born in Galloway, WI on June 30,1916, the son of Nicholas and Francis (Felix) Herrick. He married Nettie S. Starks on March 14, 1940. He worked for many years at Oscar Mayer Co. and also owned and operated his own landscaping business. He is survived by his wife; a stepson, Bob (Dixie) Wills of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Daniel L. Herrick, Jr. of Milwaukee, and Richard W. (Karen) Herrick of Columbus; nine daughters, Patricia E. Cleven of Madison, Sharon A. Haderman of California, Donna J. (Dennis) Nakano of California, Frances F. Kelner of DeForest, Sandra R. (Gary) Lee of Marshall, Edwina J. (Jim) Stark of DeForest, Pamela K. (Steve) Brenz of DeForest, Victoria G. (Donald) Gilbertson of DeForest, and Kimberly S. (Jeff) Damon of Madison; a brother, Herman; four sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy, Bridgette and Agnes; 36 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerome D. Herrick; two grandchildren Cory L. Herrick and Michael J. Cleven; three brothers; and two sisters. A funeral mass will be held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie on Wednesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. with Father Larry Bakke officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Garden on Thursday, March 30. Friends may call at the church from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. Capital Times 3/28/1989
